Anyone for an Indy?

After a seasons hard graft i am finally able to afford to get into the locost world. I gunna take some time out and start a build. I'm looking to buy MK Engineering's Sierra based 'Indy' Kit ( http://www.m-keenan.freeserve.co.uk )

I was wondering if any of you locost genies has used this kit. Have you got any pictures or stories about their build. Or has anyone got any tips on how to get started. Or does anyone have a diary of their build they can share with me? An help anyone can give will be great help!

P.s. i already have the build your own sports car book!

FYI
An MK indy is not a Locost. Ask MK engineering, I'm sure Martin would love it if you called it that!

Hi Bob
Yes, similar in the same way a Caterham is similar to a Westfield.

Where are you?

I have got a car ready for its SVA test with a Honda Fireblade engine. We are currently half way through the build of our second Mk Indy fireblade. What engine are you going to use?

First I would recommend make some wooden trestles ( A frame things to stand your car on) If you are having a Bike engine weight is an issue and you would need an ally floor. The best way to put this on IMHO is to Silicon seal it and put a hell of a lot of pot rivets in. Then sort out the brake pipes and electrical cable.
