Buying a part-built project

I'll have a fair bit of time on my hands soon and want to buy a semi-built locost, hopefully something that just needs the running gear to finish.

I've done a search and not really found many classifieds internet sites.
Still trying the usual ebay and findit, and google isn't showing much of any use.

Can anyone suggest some sites they've come across? That is, if anyone hasn't done it all from scratch

Aidanb,

Unfortunately the running gear is generally one of the first things to be assembled, in most peoples cases its just to aid working in a rather confined environment so they can move it about easily. It also serves as a motivator to see it actually take on a more car'esq appearance!

The jobs left to the end are the more fiddly time consuming jobs like trimming interior and fettling with bodwork.

I think most folks will agree that the visual progress made at the beginning is very rapid in comparrison to the progress made at the end.

a 7 style, the budget i'm not entirely sure of yet - depends on how much i'll have left over after selling my daily car and buying the next one.

I'm really looking for something cheap and cheerful for the summer

Was one for sale in the kit car magazine, standard locost for sale, no running gear, everything else.

No idea. If you are interested then ring 0191 5845663. No connection. In the ad it says it just needs running gear, electrics and part brakes.
