Dax Rush Gearbox question

I went out for a spin (well more like a blast) in my mates Dax Rush today. It was awesome, great sound, very fast and stuck to the road like glue.

It has a modified Rover V8 3.5 litre 1986 Vitesse engine currently connected to the standard rover gearbox using the standard Rover clutch.

Problem is that all of the synchros are knackered. So he is looking to either have the rover box reconditoned and uprated or as I suggested find a suitable bellhousing and stronger gearboxbox and such as the T5.

The next problem is that he is not very mechanically minded so wants to take the car somewhere and have someone do the work.

Does anyone know of anywhere in the Midlands who will do this for him?

thanks

Hi

Your friend could try

http://www.thekitcarworkshop.co.uk/

Not used them myself but have heard good things on the Sylva forum, and i believe they've fitted a few rover V8's into Furys

thanks,

Ned what are you looking for the gearbox ? Mate is in two minds between the T5 option and the rebuilt / uprated Rover item.

thanks
