my survey

My name is Stewart Anderson; I'm a student at Huddersfield University, in my final year of Transport Design.

For my final project, a Kit car company has asked me to design a vehicle for them.

At the moment I'm conducting a survey, which can be found at:

kit-carsurvey.co.uk

If you could take a couple of mins filling out my survey I would be extremely grateful.

Thankyou

i see its in conjunction with the westfield site, will it be 7 style, fully enclosed, rear engined?

just curious, might also help identify good links/peoples build sites to direct you to...

Ned.

It's an ok survey.... except it doesn;t cater for people building from scratch like me AKA no kit to buy !

Hi Stewart,

A few pointers you might like to completely disregard:

As Ben said, it ought to have a section for scratch builders- there's an awful lot of us out there!

What age group should you tick if you are 25? There's only under 25 or 26+

Does Ron Champion's book (build your own sports car for £250) count as a build manual?

As regards the budget question- you might want to break down the <£5000 a bit as this is the top end price for *most* locosters so everyone will be ticking this box and it'll skew the results.

Anyway, hope that helps,

James

Hi Stewart
I tried but your survey questions are reductive: I'm building a 7-inspired-not-too-much-alike of my own design.

No mention of just building one for other reasons ie racing either...... - I'd rather ride a big bike on the road for fun rather than a kit car - I know I'm not but it feels safer when you are doing it - cos I'm higher up perhaps??

Hi Stuart.

All us locost builders are not building from a kit.

The other locost type of cars that are being built on here are "kits" but to strictly build a locost you make it yourself.
