Oooooooooooh, look at the muck in that workshop!
James (soft southern Jessie), I hope that diff is done in metal primer, not the final colour?
Having said that, do all the body panels and GRP all the same and flog it to a hairdresser.
My project is painted with odds and sods of left over Hammerite (on the bits you can't see). Baked in the oven to cure it good and proper (while she's at work).

Jimmy,

this just confirms my suspicions.

Shut that door.

Cheers

James,
Good to see you got some of the paint on the diff.

problem is James, that the geometric opacity combined with the static preload on the wobbelshaft thrust spigot will react with the action liposomes and the aqua hydroceramides in the paint, and will basically melt your diff!

Plus people that you run over will think you are gay

Alright, time to 'fess up.

As Madforfishin correctly guessed that's just the colour of Hammerite Special Metals Primer when it's still wet. It turned to a terracotta/brick colour overnight....

and the following evening magically transformed to this:

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/photos/showppic.pl?file=silver_diff.jpg&archive=James

(with the help of a can of Hammerite spray)!

Cheers,

James

P.S. And yes, there is a lot of paint everywhere but then it's my spray painting bay so that's allowed!

Hammerite special metal primer if i'm correct?

I too had a pink diff but i can assure you when it dries it turns to a much more manly red colour.

Almost thought about doing the "big pink diffy" joke but rose above such childish humour!

I still think you're gay, pink diff or not.

Do I win a prize?

Cheers

I went out in that car (the zetec) and also the tiger b6, that woman was a nutter driver. We were stuck behind 3 cars, and before i had even realised there was room to overtake we were infront of them. Brilliant!!!
