Need to sell my Locost fast - please advise

Guys,

Due to unforseen circumsatnces I am in the odious position of having to get rid of my 85-90% finished Locost.

I would welcome your advice on pricing and best ways to advertise.

Numerous pics of car in my archive here:

Be warned - Locosts can seriously affect your marriage!!!!!!!

Regards and TIA

Dave

Dave,

Shame you have to give up - but sometimes other things are more important!

Pricing - no idea.

Advertising - This forum's 'For Sale' section is probably a very good place to start - there's always someone asking about a complete or near-complete car to buy. You have the advantage of a photo archive so it's plain to see what you're selling.

Your car looks in good shape, so you shouldn't have too much difficulty shifting it, as long as your price is realistic.

cheers,

David

If a mariage can't withstand a mere Locost, maybe it's time to jump into the Locost and bid your Awfully Dreaded farewell.

i was gonna recommend a visit to www.sellthewife.com but i thought it might be a bit tactless...!

all the best anyway dave, ebay is probably the last option cos stuff can go a bit too cheap.

wives do tend to be a factor in locost builds, and I have seen it many times.

Even 'the book' says about 500 hours of your life is needed, and if you get home at six, and spend 3 hrs in the garage a lot of evenings, or all day sat and a lot of sundays, its bound to create a big disturbance to normal married life.

Im no expert on women, but they do tend to demand a bit of attention.

If your wife started to dissapear most evenings then you might object (or see it as a positive benefit!)

Then of course there is the financial drain of building the car. Could have bought a nice dress for the price of that alu sheet. But im trying to stop that (oops giveaway ).

Im lucky enough to have a wife that understands, and to date, been able to gauge when and when not to dissappear into the garage.

best of luck with the wife problem.

My wife cant wait till we have a garage! She is getting alittle sick of me always talking about "I'm gonna do this to the 7...."

Best thing to do for a build....

I know exactly where you are all coming from... I haven't gotten into the garage for about 5 weeks now.... all that doing the Xmas duty stuff and then feeling like you can't go outside when she's had the day off and been alone all day etc etc....

but now I have a new problem - she's addicted to a PS2 game and can't let me out of the front room for more than a few seconds coz I have to do 'the hard bits' !!!

still I have booked a day in the garage for new years day - lets see what comes up at the last minute and spoils that....

grumble grumble.........

And another thing.... how come women seem to think that a nice holiday somewhere hot is more important than a set of dampers/springs ???

What a coincidence! My missus is addicted to that as well. And I thought the PS2 was my Christmas pressie to me!
