Reminds me of a family reunion/beach vacation a few years back, when some of our group constructed a new sand sculpture every day. Really nice work, including a whale, sea turtle, crab, and a TV set with sofa. It got so folks would stop by to see what was going on, and photos were taken for the local paper.

The crowning work was a larger-than life mermaid, with some very fine and lifelike anatomical features. Funniest thing was watching my sister-in-law doing a slow burn for about an hour, while her husband shaped and reshaped the mermaid's marvelously perky breasts, getting them just right.
