Duxford Airshow this weekend 13th & 14th
I'm not really into planes but managed to blag some comp tickets to duxford today (one of my mates works there) wow, what a great day !
Managed to get a tour inside the B-17 as this was the plane my mate works on. Love the sound of the engines.
They had the Vulcan there too - which was a bit noisy, but a serious bit of kit !
And 5 spitfires and a hurricane all flying at the same time.
Tomorrow is the turn of the Lancaster - there are two due to fly.
A really fun day had by all ages - my mother, father and my son all had a great day.
Did anyone else go? If so, what did you think ?

Yep I went good day out. Actual air show seemed a bit thinner this year. Typhoons and red arrows were notably missing from proceedings. Have seen
the volcan several times and it never grows tiresome

We were there yesterday. I got a shiver down my spine when I spotted the Vulcan and the Gnats low and far whilst they were holding to start the
display. We were about 100m from the Hunter that started up and it was drowned out by the Vulcan at least a mile away. B17 seemed very quiet
afterwards.

Apparently today had many more pre-sold tickets because of the 2 Lancasters. I like to think I'm a bit of a plane nut, but I just can't
get excited by that. Mind you I'd chose to see a flying Mosquito over seeing the Vulcan.
