Ebay bidding strangeness - NON CAR RELATED
Hi all,
I have just purchased a dishwasher. The bidding finished and I won it at 43 quid. When I came out of the screen and went back in it had jumped up to
63 quid. Luckily I still won as my max bid was 70 but how can this happen?
Luckily I screen shot it and it clearly says you have won, bidding ended and price at 43.
Any thoughts on how a price can jump up although I was the winning bidder?
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Maybe a delay in eBay processing. What does the bidding history show?

I won an alloy race radiator for £12 (iirc) with a few quid p&p. AFTER the auction had ended, the total cost shot up to £102!! The seller had
somehow changed the postage to £90. I'd taken screen shots so could prove that something dodgy had occurred so they let me have it for the
original price.

The bidding history suggests that they got a bid in before it ended bit it did not show up at the time.
The other persons bid was apparently placed about 30 seconds before the end, easily enough time to register.

I always use Auction Sniper, and have set the final bid at 4 seconds before listing finishes.
30 seconds is more than enough time to register the bid.
