Plumbing help?

Hi all,

Looking at a bathroom re-furb, including moving the upstairs toilet. At the moment, the toilet waste goes to a single, central vented waste stack. Because of the way the floor joists run, if we move the toilet, we will have to run the waste above floor level and box it in, which I want to avoid if possible.

However, through the bathroom wall is the garage roof void, which contains a second waste stack with bath waste etc. plumbed into it (see picture). If this pipe was extended through the roof to vent outside, would it be possible to run the toilet waste into this?

Thanks

Thats an air admittance valve, you can plumb into that stack, just keep the air valve as high as possible after the toilet waste entrance. Lucky find !
