i nearly brought a 3.0 sierra .it was south african by origin.but was put off by the fact id never heard of one either (and the fact it was well
ropey!)

They do a couple of extra models in SA, if i remember rightly they do a XR8, which is a sierra with a V8 in it.

I used to have a Marina 1.5 D, export only model, mine was a maltise taxi, I got in exchange for welding a couple of sills on a mini.
Sold the engine to a fisherman in St Ives for £400 (BMC 1 1/2 litre, 30BHP) - that was £200 a sill!!
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
