I think we must be the exceptions here, I thought for a few minutes and couldn't think of anyone it fits exactly.

Unless it's me of course. You never see your self as others see you do you?

I see myself as a Brad Pit lookalike, intelect like Steven Hawing and the patience of Ghandi.

Others may disagree.

But they're wrong.

Cheers

Quote "Today I am someone else; today I am the mind of the worst kind of Internet user. Today I am the voice of no-one and the opinion of everyone. Today, my word is law."

""My car does 50 BHP more than yours, my sex life is more interesting and varied and my grass ALWAYS grows greener. "

I’ve got so much money; I can buy all the stuff you don’t have. I made it in the dot.com boom of the late 90s, then did my Doctorate in Computing Science but gave it all up to live on a beach in Cornwall. I don’t have ADSL because the exchange doesn’t reach that far, so BT gave me an E3 to my house. Don’t talk to me about being poor, I’ve seen it all and lived to tell the tale."

You are sooooooooooooo right.

How true those words are, even today.

As I sit here on my estate amid my worldly possessions, reading this on my 52" HDTV wondering which helicopter to use tonight I think "There's always someone worse off than yourself" and then I realise, " Of course there f*(king is, it's everybody"
Where's Considerably when you need him to put things into perspective?

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Many years ago I worked with a lad called "One Better Hopkins", or OBH as he was otherwise known.

Whatever you had, he had one better/newer/lighter/faster... you know the type!

Used to have an expression - " he's got as box to put it in"

Basically if you had an elephant the other bloke would have a 'box to put it in'

I think its a dangerous thing to claim to be a source of all knowledge or my way is better in anything. there is always some git better or ready to shoot you down. 45 years teaches you this.

most places seemed to be bars where 'laptop' had a different meaning.

plus I was too busy, and the net isnt as big in thai as it was in s.korea. All three hotel rooms in korea had free broadband with a pc in the room

unbelievably, its illegal to bring porn into thailand - its on notices.

Also paying for sex isnt legal, but they dont do much to enforce it.

On a trip over, my mate was offered a bj in a bar for a couple of quid. But bring over a copy of playboy, and yer in trouble.

BTW - Bangkok isnt anywhere near as seedy as I expected.

dead cheap too.

An hr taxi ride, inc tip, is about 3 quid. meter starts at 40p. Then 8p a mile.

a KFC in the airport costs 1.30 (uk approx a fiver?)

A sandwich at NEC costs about 3 quid, at Thai equiv, it costs 55p. You can have a hot meal and a drink for a quid.

the airport is probably loads more expensive than rural areas, to milk rich foreigners. they say you can live like a king in thailand with a moderate income from home.

A bloke I used to work with retired there. He used to come over and bring knockoff designer gear, Armani and stuff like that, to make some spending money while over here. He said everything trebled in price when the American fleet came in and went down again when they left.
