Can I have it back please ?
On 18th August I went to the kit car event at the Ace Cafe, London. There was a sevenesque driver there who was very worried because he had lost the
round cap off one of his side-draught Webers. I drove back to my garage ( a round trip of about 20 miles ) and took a cap off one of my set which I
gave to him on his promise that he would return it.
If he sees this, could he please let me have it back, otherwise I will not be so stupid in future and any kit car driver in trouble will have to find
another mug.
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

Following an appeal for the loan of a handbrake rubber grip, I took the one off my car and posted it to RichyMkIndy at my cost, with the promise
he'd return it after his SVA retest two weeks later. I'm still waiting..... 6 years later. I've also posted several taps and dies to
folks and never seen them again. I'll learn one day!

Looks like he was last active on the site 6 years ago (August 2006). I assume you have tried emailing him? (address is in his profile)

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Not right and it's no comfort, I know, but an engineer friend when I was a kid said "The bloke who lends his tools is out buying some
more."
Everyone forgets things - I've forgotten who I lent a guitar amp & mixer to, for instance - but the decent thing would be to go back to the
place they found the item that they borrowed (e.g. this forum in the OP's case) and offer the item back to the owner. Even if they were no
longer a member...
Cheers - Francis.

Sorry, but I have never had an email confirmation of any u2u messages sent to me from this site !
I do agree with the notion of; never a lender or a borrower be, but sometimes we all loan things.

After 'losing' one or two things I now have a debtors board so i at least know who i've lent what. After creating it - i've
never actually lent anything!
(which is more cause I'm never in the garage than because I'm getting tight).
I did try to give away a bellhousing recently and rather generously got some cash for it. Their are some good people about still.
To be honest i'm sure I still owe someone a couple of quid except I can't for the life of me remember who it is. I got a lambda bung off
them and didn't have any change. They didn't either so we agreed i'd pop round with the change at some point. I can't remember
where they live before someone pipes up. If you read this ..... let me know (and describe your car / house / area you live in before some wag claims
"its me".

Thank you MikeR He did seem like a genuine chap and I understand he is very busy and I have a terrible memory too so if you could give him a prod I
would appreciate it.
