When I was there, there was talk of reducing the noise limit from 105dB(a) to 103 or 101. Was that part of the court's ruling?

The airfield is about a mile from the village and most of the Auto 66 stuff happens at the far end (making that 2 miles from the village, minimum.....)! Plus, there is a massive tree-wall between the airfield and the village...

By 'eck, it boils my wee!

p.s. It's a good job that I'm taking 40 sevens through Elvington village in convoy next year then!

mclaren hasnt done much to help the situation, it is a bit harsh to penalise everyone who uses the venue.
All the auto 66 events and javelin enforce the 105db rule and javelin also now black flag anyone who is making excessive tyre noise.
How loud is an F1 car at 215mph?????

The auto 66 calender for next year has already one event less at elvington with 2 rather than 3.
It looks like teeside autodrome will be the making up the other events

this is for coose......do you run in the auto 66 events? speed series or road race?
cheers Paul

Paul - the same events as you but only with half the wheels!

To be honest, I don't like the place and I don't mind not racing there as I'd much rather be on a proper circuit, but that's well and truly beside the point! It has been an airfield for probably a lot longer that the majority of the Elvington residents have existed!

I moved back to Yorkshire from the Surrey/London to get away from the nanny culture. At this rate the thought of emigrating to New Zealand may soon become a reality!!!!
