My new ride

Well i have a new project in the garage. It was delivered today. It's a 1957 Ford 100e Anglia (popular was 1959 on) and it is totally mint. It has escort suspension, adjustable coil overs on the rear and a 105e uprated rear axle. I have sourced a sweet 1600 xflow engine but need a 4 speed type 3 box. Needs a few jobs to get roadworthy but all in all I'm really happy. Sat in it for the 1st time today too and the driving position is awesome! Really nice. You feel low down and the bonnet looks Uber cool.

As for the mini project...too much hassle/rust/bovver/can't be assed any more!! I must be getting old

Ace! A friend of mine (who now has a 'Blade-engined S2 Lotus 7) had one when he passed his test about 20 years ago! It was electric blue with slotmags and a 1600 pinto. We scrubbed off a new set of Colway remoulds in the afternoon after he passed!

Oh yeah, it had a sun visor over the windscreen that was apparently unobtainable and was probably worth as much as the car!

I had a part share in one when I was 14 we drove it up and down a farm track until it expired! It had manifold vacuum operated windscreen wipers that changed speed depending how hard you had the accelerator down!

What a surprise, shall we take bet on how long this one lasts? Best count in weeks or days rather than months to give everyone a fair chance of guessing correctly

I had one... My first car and cost me £40.
Back in 1972.
Great Car, and reliable, was a 1956 model and 4 door.
Crap Vacuum powered wipers, especially going up a long hill in the rain
