Halfords seem to do a fair range of colours.

Standard Hamerite absolutley DOESNT resist heat.

the hammerite site says if its too hot to touch, its too hot for hammerite.

Hammerite isnt actually very good. I used it to reaonable effect on my sump and bell housing, but the blaock on my air filter box looks like I did it in treacle

International do a great heat resistant paint, it's about £6 a tin down you local B&Q. I've used it on engine parts (except the exhaust manifold). It's heat resistant to 200C. I've had no problem in the past with it. The tin I use most of is the black gloss, great finish & the little tins go on and on and on. Great value for money and hardy.

paint

I use household radiator enamel paint from B&Q, it's the best that I've found, but does take 4 hours to dry.
Hammerite is the worse paint that I've every used.
