What did you paint the block with? My crossflow looked like that till I was forced to keep it outside under plastic bags for two years

Beautiful pinto. Love it but not keen on the individual filters. They look great but they throw away power compared to a set of trumpets and a big
pipercross sausage.

cracking job!! looks the dogs. Forgive my ignorance but I take it that they're bike carbs? if so what off and are they relatively easy to set
up?

Looks good matey.
Dont want to put a downer on your nice engine but them filters will zap some power as they dont flow air aswell as a sausage type! Nice manifold
aswell btw is it bogg bros?

I'll have to work a bit harder on mine to keep up

The engine was degreased and treated to paint stripper using a stainless pad to agitate the old paint.
The engine was sprayed using 1 tin of tetrosyl brush on enamal with 10% thinners and cheap spray gun.
The inlet manifold is another boggs master piece.
Rocker sump and pulleys shot blasted and powder coated silver.
Air filter may be revised I may be able to keep inside the bonnet with an itg 25mm sausage filter.
Next major job is getting it to spark using megajolt..

so far I've only added about 10 - 15 hours work to that
(+ a fair bit ££ of the internals, but you can't see them once its done)
I got the block chemicaly dipped (it was getting rebored anyway) - even after that I still had to spend a few hours with wire brush thing on the drill
to clean up the outside, but it was much easier

Sorry but why O why did you not remove the ugly bracket that use to hold the old air box also will the oil filler be ok to miss the body
I must say that is one if not the nicest cleanest pintos i have seen
well done
