Shiney new toy

Collected my new engine on friday, finally had chance to get in the garage and have a mess about today

Pic of how I collected it

Cleaned up and stripped of its unneccessary bits!

Inside cam cover, nice and clean. As I took it off, I havent cleaned it, honest!

Got a few other bits which need fitting, and a rear wheel drive 2.3 sump on the way which should be able to be shortened to give ground clearance similar to the pinto.

I just need to find out about the clutches (see other thread). I think I can fit a pinto clutch to the standard 1.8 flywheel whith I have with just re-drilling the dowels.

Jobs for this week and next weekend are blank of EGR ports and find some parts to make a water rail

The mental gymnastics a landlord will employ to justify immoral actions is clinically fascinating. Just because something is legal doesn't make it moral.

Zero miler essentially. Just done some dyno work/testing and thats all

Its almost like new inside which is good news for me!

Got lots of work to do on it to get it fitted later in the year though!

You can get good ones for £400-600 from mondeos.

They are also fitted to Fiesta ST's so its worth searching ebay...theres one on there for £400 now...

They also crop up listed as zetecs and all sorts (as the cars are still badged zetec). One went the other week for £150...
