Exhaust parts, help required

Where can i get an exhaust Y piece in stainless that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Needs to be 38mm ID diameter on the 2 inlets and 45mm? ID on diameter on the other end in stainless

the 2 38mm inlets needs to be parallel and as close together as possible. I need to replicate something like this

exhaust trim
exhaust trim

I can provide dimensions if someone would be willing to do it at a reasonable cost.

I could do it but don't have welding equipment atm.

Make it !

Bit of 45mm Pipe, split it lengthways and add a triangle to into the splits both sides, you now have the collector shape.

Cut the exit flush and weld 45mm pipe for the exit.

Where the pipes enter get a piece of flat SS and cut two 38mm holes next to each other, then weld the in pipes flush to this.

Shape to fit the collector, then cut the collector flush and weld.

For flat SS I just opened up a piece of pipe and flattened, simples

Here's the exhaust I made with three collectors, once I ground and polished the joins it look much nicer.

What makes you say that?

Well it will not go on my laguna

I could do that but i need the pipework to be hidden.

I know what you say it is a lot easier but the pipework will be seen under the bumper.

You should know by now that i am after cheap parts m8. Before you scrap anything give me a ring.

Just got a brand new genuine waterpump for the clio for £15

I still need clutch and timing belt kit and auxiliary kit as well. It would be nice to get a full set of sensor to have in hand. TDC water temperature sensor etc....

I am looking for a black metalic clio rear spoiler and wing mirrors.

Also, i will be in the hunt for a complete twingo RS head and exhaust manifold

I had send you a list some time ago.

As i will be leaving UK, i need to make sure i buy loads of parts if i can get them cheapish. In Greece everything have gone sky high and vat is 25% now.

I can get you a genuine timing belt kit for £40 and aux belt kit for £30

The twingo RS head is different to your due to the VVT isnt it?

Cool if they are complete kits, then i am up for it. Let me know if there is anything that you can do with the clutch.

Ohhh, i had forgoten that the Twingo had VVT.

I know that the K4M engine is the same as mine K4J. The only difference is the crank and rods? as one is 1.6 K4M and the other is K4J is 1.4.

The plan was to change the internals and then fit the wilder cam from the Twingo RS, Injectors and inlet manifold and also the exhaust manifold.

This way the car still is declared as 1.4 which means less Road Tax and less insurance, (also in Greece less income tax) and make it 1.6 with wilder cams injectors, manifolds etc... to make at least 20-30hp more.

My mechanic wants about 500 quid and the rest will be parts. In UK though, you can get the parts a lot cheaper as you can get loads of second hand ones whereas in Greece you would be extremely lucky to find anything for 10X the price you would get it from here.

Any engine in Greece is minimum £900 for a car. Here you can get them for £300

I sent my brother a Seat leon engine 1.8T for £1000 including postage and in Greece they asked for £3000

The head on later K4M engine is different to the earlier K4M and K4J . The head is physically taller so the cambelt will be too short. There are also more oilways in the head so you would need some kind of hybrid head gasket.

Yes, but it shouldn't make a big difference as i only need the manifolds, injectors and cams so i can retrofit them on my own engine and head.

Couldn't I use the head as it is if i fit the twingo RS timing belt.

How come does it have more oilways? Did they make changes on the block as well?

By the way, these mods will go on my car which will be a Megance Coupe Maxi replica.

My wife's clio will be std apart from bodykit, K&N induction and decals.

The block will have the oilways in too. Also the inlet cam will be different as it has the oil way in for the VVT pulley. The inlet manifold is completely different to, as is the throttle body.

In other words,

Nothing will fit.

Anything will fit with time and money lol

The throttle body on yours is on the back of the engine on the plenum, the K4M is on the side of the engine. I am pretty sure the cam is different though has anyone else does this conversion?

Not as far as i know.

But i have been reading the magazines and they only mentioned about the cam, manifolds and compression ratio.

The rest are things i know. Unless, i can get the RS cams on mine and then do an ITB conversion.
