im supposed to be off all week but with the rate of boiler breakdowns at the mo im in all week including some of yesterday and the extra monet already been spent on family holiday..

i was back to work sunday, in America they don't do boxing day, and if christmas is on a saturday or sunday then thats your day off, no moving the day off to monday and giving a bank holiday day, but life is still good in the land of the free

Was on call christmas night then worked 12hr night on boxing day, sh1t happens...........................

Woah just hit the post key and tipped tesco chocolate milk into my laptop, lol, am mopping the keys now, FML, lol

I'm here too. 8am-4.45pm mon-thurs.
Was supposed to be off until 4th Jan but there's loads of work on and I'm Mr Greedy!

Just got to stay focused. It'll be worth it when I'm flying round a track in the spring. Well, so I keep telling myself....

I think you are being conned mate. I've worked here (in the US) for 16 years and everywhere I've worked has honored bank holidays that land on weekends. For example we have taken christmas day and new years day during this week then added three personal holiday days to have all week off.

You are right about boxing day though, but we do get July 4th, Thanksgiving etc........
