Best and cheapest place to buy racewear

Having secured a job from coming out of uni I am now looking to prepare for when i start racing, which should be mid next year.

After I've sorted ards test out I will want to get my racewear prepared, so nomex, race suit, gloves, boots and helmet. I don't want to compromise on safety but I also don't have a large budget, so what are your suggestions on what I should get and the cheapest place to get it?

Joining the 750mc will get you 10% off at DemonTweeks. Merlin Motorsport are likely to match that if you're buying everything in one hit.

If you know what you are looking for ebay is a good place to look for overalls provoided you understand the out of date codes on them.

In 10 years I have never bought a brand new set but had three pairs from ebay all in good condition at bargain prices.
Also check out piston heads though you may pay more there.

Make sure it is at least 2000 spec and not a CIK cart suit

Hi

What Jack says about the racesuit is a good bet.

Lots of folk use Playskool Motorsport - they are very good value, especially their helmets.

Or

Go to the Autosport show - on the trade day, lots to try on (which is the most important bit with a lid, got to be comfy) and normally plenty of offers too.
