I've just fitted a 4xv R1 silencer to my 08 4C8 R1 engine.

I have to say the sound is about right, quiet below 4k RPM, but makes a lovely sound in the higher revs.

It also doesn't seem too restrictive either, although it does get bloody hot! And any backfires sound like something has just exploded!!!

I'm not sure on a db level yet, but will find out soon when I get it to a track. I'm sure it's got to be under 105db.

The one I have on mine pops and bangs on the over run to but is noisy all throughout the rev range. Also the baffles sound as though they're rattling a bit hence the want to change.

Cheers for the pic mate.Im not sure if that'll fit on my car.The can on mine is clamped directly onto the beginning of the can with another clamp about 230mm back onto the exhaust .my can also has a 90 degree tailpipe.Could yours be modified to suit??

It won't be a straight forward fit, it will need to be modified, there are several people who have done this

Cheers
