polo rad...im wanting info

After thinking about a better rad and fan in my car dude to poor cooling,
I notice the polo rad keeps coming up as its a cheaper option but obviously needs some mods to fit .so heres a few questions
which one do you have?
how did you mount it ?
how is your fan mounted ?
how do you fill it up?
more info and/or pics the better

Understeer , when the front hits a wall
Oversteer, when the back hits a wall
Horsepower ,how fast you hit the wall
Torque ,how far you take the wall with you

Which one do you have? Common one is 1.1 Polo, which is 380w x 320 tall. It has 2x 32mm in/outlets on the left, and i beleive one 8mm bleed hose connection.

I went for this one which is slightly wider and doesnt have the 8mm bleed hose connection.

How did you mount it ? I made up some alloy brackets: http://www.loggyboy.com/images/Raw/Radiator/RadiatorBracketsSide.jpg

How is your fan mounted ? It will be mounted with push through plastic clips:

How do you fill it up? You need a header tank set up.

Hi
We fitted a polo Rad purchased from Boston radiators £35 + £ 10 P&P, polo 1 ltr 83-90
we made our own aly Z shaped brackets & the polo fan (ebay 95p +P&P)
with steel strips in between the aly brkts.
we cut off the small outlet at the top of rad & araldited a self tapping screw
in the hole, (not required)
The pict of the fan is bent the pict was taken following an accident,
it was just to show how it was fitted.
our layout is for a bike engine but should work equally well on a cec

I used a seat Leon radiator which is a bit bigger than a polo one and has slightly thicker core.

It fits very snugly under the nose cone mounted at an angle on home made brackets

There's 3 entries in my build diary about the radiator and bracket. Polo rad mounted to bracket I made out of 25x4mm steel . 5mm holes on back of rad tapped to take M6 fixings to mount to bracket. Same on the front to mount the fan. I have an expansion tank on the bulkhead where the system is filled from.

Not finished the car so not sure how well it cools yet!

Hi mate the link to your image for the brackets goes to a hosting site. I'm trying to put a polo rad in my striker so it'd be great if you have any pics of the brackets
