floor mounted dip switch

Hi haven't posted before but I'm in the process of building a replica of a 1963 Falcon mk111 Competition sports racer based on a custom built Autotune Gemini frame and body (the Gemini being based on the Falcon). It will be as close to the original as possible with Ford pre x flow engine though with square tube and 5 link rear rather than round tube and A frame, + other mods to get through IVA. I would like to use a floor mounted dip switch as correct to period but can't find in IVA manual if permitted or not.

No help with the IVA/floor switch thing, but I thought the Autotune Gemini was based on the Elva?

Elva mk1's used a Falcon Competition body (though the first of them had custom alloy bodies and the first glassfibre bodied one used a Microplas body).

No reason not to use a floor dip switch in IVA manual AFAIK.

Nothing to stop you adding it retrospectively.

Mk 1 Sprite floor switch is quite small.

Thanks for replies.I'll fit one and see what the examiner makes of it. The advice for retrospective fitting is sound but I would prefer it to be done during initial build as alterations are needed to footwell and that becomes more difficult once its already completed, not to mention all the other changes that wil be required post IVA.
