Gearbox mounts.

I've just finished making engine mounts for my zetec into my Dax Rush build. Pretty pleased with them and the various threads on here about engine mounts / thickness / different styles and reinforcements have been so useful to me. Thanks everyone who has shared their experiences.

Now onto the type 9 gearbox mount. I've gone for the stiffer Cortina mount with a 95mm (I think) width and this means also having to manufacture something to bolt or weld to the chassis box sections.

This will allow me to bolt the gearbox mount to something. Hopefully something solid.

The question is, does the gearbox mount location on the chassis have to be quite as strong as fr the engine mount? I was thinking not as the weight on the tail of the gearbox is a lot less. In my mind I was thinking of fabricating tabs made of 40mm angle steel that dropped from the chassis and I could bolt the bearbox mount to those. In 3 or 4mm steel.
