more questions part II

had to split and photos did not appear, maybe too mcuh for one post?

11. Boot is lined with marine plywood, looks nasty. I plan to redo it in aluminium - what would be a suitable thickness? Also I would fit ali angle
underneath running from side to side to strengthen it - any other ideas welcome.

12. The two lamps on the back (fog and reverse?) are missing the lenses. They look very similar and measure up like the ones in teh VWP catalogue - any one able to identify them further?

13. The ignition coil is mounted on the front of the engine, not seen that done before. That doesn't seem ideal being close to the engine and behind radiator.
Looking for ideas where to put it to keep it cool.

14. The nose cone scoop doesn't look like the best fitted job and is not very big. Here I may try to lower it a bit so the top surface is smooth or fit a larger ali scoop. Again fishing for ideas.

15. Has anyone tried to shorten the steering column stalks?

To make it easier, just list the question number and your response and I'll take it from there. Thanks a lot.

12 - the lights (fog definately, think so with reverse) have to be parallel to the grould - ie 90 degrees from it. Those don't look like they are and therefore fail sva.

15 - leave it a while ........ probably possible but you've got other things to do that stop SVA.

that is how VWP describe them, size matches so I know where to get the lenses.

re: parallel to ground - to fix that I need to put in a wedge, narrow at bottom, wider at the top so the lamps face is at right angels to the ground?
