Engine change

Hi all first of all dose any one know of the best place to get MK2 Escort bits as I have just purchased a 91 Westfield SE 1600 X/Flow

The other question is how easy would it be to change the engine for something a bit more modern or would it be best to go to a good engine builders and have it rebuild to run on unleaded

Liam

Stick a nice zetec in, cheaper than rebuilding an old crossflow.

I may be talking bo%%ocks as its just my OLHO!

There is a place in Wides that specialises in Mk1/Mk2 Escorts. I 've had some bits off him, a nice genuine guy. He took all Ian Harman's stock when Ian retired.
Also have a look in 'Retro Ford' I am sure there used to be a guy in Speke.
'Quids In' and 'Loot' also a good sourec now and again up at your end.
