Sequential Shifter

Perhaps it is being too ambitious, but has anyone ever considered fabricating or adapting a sequential or "bump" shifter?

I have a friend who has a mechanical guru for a dad, and he talked about making one for some car he had (like Plymouth Road Runner or something). He described it as having some sort of cable system and springs to locate the H-shifter arm and a custom-made gate.

I don't really know much else about it other than that, but I know that there are adaptor kits for many of the Japaneese high-performance cars that have the remote bump shift lever or paddles and relays that activate a moving retainer for the shift lever...

I wondered if anyone knew where to get one or how to make one.

Again, Perhaps it is way too ambitios, but at least I can realize that

There is a company that make a barrel type sequential shifter that fits any type of convential H shifter

It work by a leaver attached to a barrel thet rotates with the fordards and backward movement of the leaver and
translates this into the convential shift pattern.

i'll seen if i can find the link......

If you've got the dosh, you could try one of these little beauties. It's a dog box, but it does come with a LED GPU.

That's better.
