XE now running (on bike carbs)

Hi all,

Well - as some of you know, have been having dramas with the car after the engine died 50 miles after SVA back at the beginning of the year.... No matter what, despite masses of very helpful advice on here - thank you, the damn thing wouldn't start... so decided to swap it out. "New" engine in today, and started first go!!! FANTASTIC!!

Because I thought at the start it might have been an electrical problem, its now running with a set of R1 carbs (all leakage problems fixed now, after a second clean - I think some gunge got in the fuel pipe when it was disconnected, then into the carbs when first plumbed in) and an H+H ignition systems 'dizzy' (those guys are great by the way!)

Many thanks for all the help - especially NSDev and TriumphDave....

Right, now to rebuild the old engine

Chris

Hey that's brilliant to hear Chris!!

Make sure you let us know what was wrong with the old one, as you'd certainly exhausted EVERY obvious and all the less obvious problems as far as I could see!!

cheers

Nat
