Expansion bottle

I'm struggling for space for my expansion bottle, i currently have a Corsa 1.4 bottle which i need to run the water at just below the neck where it goes into the head, can anyone see a problem with this?

Must try harder

if the expansion bottle is also the header tank then the minimum line on the tank needs to be the above the highest part in the system. be it radiator or engine block.

otherwise it will be impossible to fill system without airlocks.

the higher the better in my opinion.

Hope that helps

As I just replied in another post the expansion tank must hold a volume of air to compress greater than the volume of expanded water to be effective. Or fit a seperate expansion vessel similiar to fitted to central heating boilers. air will compress water hydraulics.
