help runnin problems

hi there i have jus done a head gasket and when i started the car it ran really rough and then jus stalled i think its the timin which is out any ideas any help would be much appricated

Need lots more info from you, for instance, what sort of engine is it?

Cam timing could well be an issue (assuming it's an OHC of some sort) as well as the ignition timing

hi there it is a renault megane 1.6 8v

Suspect the first thing to check would be the cam timing.

when you did the timing, did you lock the crankshaft with the renault tool or not? If you didn't, you might got the wrong timing, causing the valves to bend!!
