measuring my hose! haha
need to get a new hose for between expansion tank and water pump. measured the diameter of expansion tank outlet and its 0.3 inches but me being
shocking at maths my vernier caliper has inch scale split from 1-9 so startat 0 then 9 marks then 1inch. so what i measured is 3/9 in this scale. but
how do i convert that into the say 16th scale scale? god i wish id listened at school.

EDIT: unfortunately schools dont teach imperial in maths or even 'relevant maths' - the only have time to teach whats in the gcse exam
papers.
im 19 and proud of the fact im fluent in metric and imperial. i use both everyday and it makes life soo much easier. i remember asking my metric
convinced maths teacher how tall he was, he replied instantly 6'1" - need i say more?

its a touch over 7mm. is that one known as the vacum hose? comes out of the top of the header tank and goes to water pump?

im not sure of the proper term for it, but it allows a small amount of water to circulate around block when stat is closed. helps to warm engine up
evenly. it shouldnt be under vacumn, normal water hose should be fine.

"...so what i measured is 3/9 in"
No, what you measured was 3/10"
What you want is 8mm or 5/16"
