mnr supplied rmd quick release boss.

any one fitted this to the sierra column.
do you just hacksaw the column and weld the rmd splined piece on or is there a better way like a staggared joint and perhaps a collar over?

Ive got one on my VortX, but MNR supplied the steering column already modified. It looks like they have just cut the original end off, and welded this one on

ditto got mine from mac1 and the same. Also the switchgear on the shaft was lathed smooth cylindrical.. neat really.

must have a solid slug inside the two parts,
do not butt weld

dont suppose you have a photo of the splined shaft welded on to the coloum ?
