What about this, then?

Anyone else getting a little tired of these teaser thread titles that have been appearing quite a bit recently? Note the irony in my choise of title for this thread.

I don't want to draw attention to any specific examples, but I do think it would be nice, courteous even, if people could include just a little info about the actual subject in the thread title.

I don't mind looking once, but if I look and find that the subject is something of no interest to me, then it can be a little irritating to find a day or two later, when I've forgotten what the thread was about, to get caught again, especially when the site is so slow as it sometimes is.

So, come on chaps, put something in the title to indicate what the thread is about. Please

John

No here too, I saw no metallic inferences whatsoever.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Damn, this is the second time I've strayed into this thread hoping it would be about something interesting.

Yes, I find it annoying as well and I get caught out by the same thread several times in one sitting, not just the next day.

When they're spoiler threads it's even worst... "What a great day" and then you open it to find the first line is..."Hamilton won..." Spoils watching the tape (I'm out most Sundays).
Its as bad as putting the result in the title.

Shouldn't this be a post for Monday morning, not a Friday

Doesnt really bother me on a forum. For works emails etc i find it annoying. It is probs basic etiquette to make a title meaningful for the content but doesnt fuss me too much on a forum.

I just wish that there was a button that said "I am not interested in this topic any more, so don't flag it as having new posts".
