Cats were fitted to all sierra models from 1991, with 1.6,1.8 and 2.0 sierras getting them in 1990.

The last sierras were sold in 1994.

Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

I would say injection models and not carb ones as my donor was 1991 1.8 CVH carb no cat!

Yes, injection models only cats don't generally work with carbs.

Excellent Thanks for that. Im a bit in the dark on some of the rules but if i buy a sierra (Say a 1991 2.0 DOHC) with CAT will i have to fit a CAT to my Haynes if i want an age related plate.

Thanks.

In theory yes, but if there were cars with cats and cars without cats at the same time then it's unlikely that an SVA/IVA inspector will know which is which.

I'd leave it out and take the risk
