Scenic Seized Engine - Scrap Or Break?
Right, I have a Mk1 Scenic on my drive that has a seized diesel engine.
The shell is pretty rough too.
What's the best way of getting some minimal return on it?
Strip it for bits and sell them on ebay, or get a scrap yard to come and take the whole thing?
Thanks,
Pat...

Was offered £65 for daughters old Mk 4 escort at local scrappy, bloke at G and S said £100 if deliverd there and finally went for double that to a
member of RS OC.
If you have the space and time then breaking would be the best return unless a cheap engine turns up?

I scrapped a Xantia a week or two ago.
Due to a hydraulic leak there was no brakes, suspension etc. The scrap man came in a recovery truck, picked it up and gave me £50

Scrap around here is in the £40 a ton region, so 50 to 60 quid for the car i would guess.
I think strip and sell bits will get the best return, though this may take some time and the hassle of a semi stripped car/bits around the place

Brake it to pieces. I am doing the same with my Clio. Airbags etc. but don't forget the aibag module.
There are loads of things to sell if you have the space to keep the parts.
Indicator stalks, sunroof, a gazilion things to sell. Some of them might be of use to the kit car.
