Hi guys, starting to warm up a bit hardly used car at all since bout november, then it was running pretty ropey, backfires a lot gives stop and start
power deliverey when throttle is open, also has a lag time time if i floor throttle to engine actually firing me forward, so think im gunna get it on
the rollers sumwhere and check jets see whats happening and let them make necessery changes. any ideas of what this should cost me?

For a full fuel injection map from a good rolling road tuner you should budget circa £400. Can be done cheaper but it's false economy in my
experience.
Track N Road in rainham who are one of the best have just quoted me this, along with several others. I've paid less than this on two occasions
previously and spent the money again having it put right.

Might be a good idea to put your location in your profile then people in your area may have some recommendations?
P.S. Dave Walker charges around £280 plus vat for a full mapping session on cars using the Emerald ECU . Worth every penny

im in leeds, west yorkshire. i dont have eletcronic fuel injuscetion though i have carbs so i would be best with a carb specialist i think rather than
somebody who specialises in ecus maps etc

there's a few places round here that charge 85 an hour, they reckon my car can be done in 3 hours from scratch (07 zx10 with pc3usb - they are
an approved dynojet center and have bike and car dynos)
very handy if you made engine mods and just need a slight tweak as you don't have to fork our for a full remap.

Boggs Brothers near Malton in North Yorkshire are very good, give them a call and speak to David, I just paid £80 for a couple of hours of tweaking
and on the rolling road, nice roads for a drive too!
Cheers

Seconded. Boggs will sort you out, for considerably less than 400notes i reckon.

I paid £79 per hour a year or two back. The guy was done in just under the hour. That said, the car wasn't far off. he said he could spend
hours setting it "just so" but would be a case of diminishing returns.
It depends what you want. You can set it so that it is OK at all speeds or you can finely tweak here and there. Another 1 BHP at the top end, a bit
more torque at the bottom. Only noticeable with a stopwatch.

I phoned Northampton Motorsport, there were about £85 per hour (cant remember exactly) for a rolling road session.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

I'd second Track N Road in Rainham - they are very good and you do get 2 guys mapping it not one! £400 (cash!) was the base fee when I went and
I had a few problems so it was more! And it's a 400 plus mile round journey from West Wales!
