Selling on FLEEEEBAY
Sold something and the buyer just contacted me saying that he doesn't have any money and will pay end of next week?
I cannot be arsked with ppl like that. My bad i didn't specify any payment period.
I am trying to look around Ebay if there is a period that you have to wait for payment. Can anyone help me out?

I think its 10 days before you can file that they're a non-paying bidder then a few days after that and you get your final value fee back but
not your listing fee.
TBH I'm getting more and more disillusioned with eBay especially as they're not doing 10% flat final value fee on most items!!! And
trying to soften the blow by saying you can list 99p or less items for free instead of 10p. Hmm let me see either pay 10p or pay 10% of the final
value THEN 3 to 4% if they use Paypal!!!
Rant over!

I think you can relist it right away, but you will have to wait 10 days before you can get your listing fees back.
I had the same thing happen twice when I was selling the Audi engine.

Offer it to the second highest bidder.
Are you sure you are in such a hurry?
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

I am not in a hurry. It's not fair though. You buy something, you pay for something.
So if he pays end of next week, i will then keep the item for another 10 days after payment before i send it over.
Would he like that?

when you recieve payment, email him and tell him you are going on holiday for 2 weeks and will send it when you get back!
See if the buyer is so understanding.
Had enough of this dictatorship known as LCB. Gone elsewhere, not coming back. Kiss my ass ChrisW.

Just sold a towbar on ebay,
clearly stated paypal and collection only.
Guy who has bought it says he will only pay on collection, stated how could he pay for something up front? Also stating he could only pay by cash.
I wanted to avoid someone haggling me on the spot on collection hence my request for paypal up front.
In order to shift it I agreed he could pay on collection, but he sounds like a muppet via the emails so I await to see if my suspicions are
correct.
If he couldn't pay via paypal he shouldn't have bought it!
rant over, god I hate ebay (buts it useful!)

Main problem with ebay is that its exposed to anyone - and there are plenty of idiots who will happily mess you around.
I usually block buyers without paypal which helps a bit.

But back to the 'paypal only'.....
My mate bid for and won a car on Ebay. He phoned the guy straight away to ask for his address and said that he would collect the car as soon as he
collected the trailer and he'd pay cash. He'd be there the same day before dark. They guy refused to give his details until the payment
had cleared through Paypal. Why would anyone choose Paypal over cash? If the item is as described, then the buyer cannot haggle. My mate was willing
to drive for two hours to collect the car so it was obvious he wasn't in a position to haggle, unless the car was not as described.
By the next morning the guy had left my chum bad feedback and relisted the car!!
As said many times by many folk, Ebay has had its day.....
