Paypal account scam

i just received a email below looking as if from paypal it appeared to be legit as email address it comes from starts "service@paypal.intl.com" only different seems to be the intl not co.uk. seems to be one of the scams to get you to re-input your account details.be aware!!

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system.

We requested information from you for the following reason:

We have been notified that a card associated with your account has been reported as lost or stolen, or that there were additional problems with your card.

Case ID Number: PP-071-362-832
Click here to verify your records





If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to temporary suspend your account.

Don't do it! Legit emails will never ask for your card details!

Scam.....

well at least sounds like it,very clever if they added a link to click on to input your details.... I would ignore, you should know if you have lost or had card stolen. Or if you had any credit issues with your card.

Steer clear, ignore, delete, forget....

Me too. Never click the link - if you are unsure simply log directly into your Paypal account in the normal way through your browser. I've had the same with ebay scam messages taking you to a "login page"

If in doubt re the scam try type the Case ID number into Google

Case ID Number: PP-071-362-832

This type of scam is so common it normally gets tagged as spam/security threat long before it reaches your inbox, you might want to look at your anti-spam protection.

Good advice, as said, never click a link in an email. If you have any doubts, open up your browser and navigate to the page directly.

All the link will do is take you to a page that looks like the correct site but is totally fake.
