Occasional little bits of amateur engineering
From time to time I need little engineering jobs doing, the sort of thing I might do myself if I had a lathe and maybe a mill(and knew how to use
it).
For instance, right now I need three cylindrical spacers made. Inside bore 8mm, external doesn't really matter, but could do with 2mm or so of
wall thickness. length about 25mm (but will check).
What I would like to do is to establish a relationship with someone who can do this sort of thing and who I could ring with details of what I want,
and who would then say how much money he wanted (which I presume he would arrive at by adding (how long it took to make multiplied by an hourly rate)
plus the cost of materials and posting.
I wouldn't fuss about the price because it wouldn't be me who was paying, although it would need to be sensible ie calculated as above.
Anyone interested? Of course this would be strictly 'entre nous'

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
