don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I dont think so? the reason i ask is that i bought my chassis as an unfinished tiger avon off someone who knew jim at tiger. Ive just been intouch with them both to see about getting a receipt or some kind of proof of who it was made by and jim says it was one made by pheonix automotive, so i assume theyre a sub contractor of tiger, but just wanted to do a bit of research first

Ah - now i know exactly who you are talking about!! Tiger bought the rights to the Avon after only about 10 chassis were produced so if yours is one of them then its pretty rare!!

Some history here

I think you may well struggle to get a receipt in that case!! Are you going for a new registration and so need a receipt for the chassis?

Not in this case no. It would have been handy for going to the powers that be when it comes to IVA / registration - especially with proving amateur build status but you should have enough without it anyway. Do you have a receipt for when you bought the part built kit?

No, thats what i was originally ringing the guy i bought it off for. Tiger say they can supply a letter saying it was built by pheonix which is good of them if its any use?

May as well have a copy of that then Andrew - any documentaion can only ever really help when it comes to registration. Give them a huge pile and they generally cant be bothered going through it all!!

Mine appears to be slightly different at the back bottom edge where the roll bar stays but apart from that i havent noticed anything at all. I think its tiger bodywork im using so unless they copied that too, the dimensions must be virtually the same.

IIRC Tiger did make a couple of cosmetic adjustments to the bodywork but not much, I think they also did a couple fo changes to the chassis.
