Durite Hazard Switch advice
Can one of you guys possibly help with my damned Hazard Circuit. I have a made up loom which is all fitted and connected with relay and circuits for
all lights. The circuit I would like is what wire goes to what terminal on the switch and relay. The circuit I do have is v.poor and is for the switch
only - I need one for full hazard circuit with seperate relay.
I understand the relay comes before the switch to give the 'blinky' effect - but what wires go where for the two lamps in the switch to
function correctly? One perm. on with ignition then other to blink with flashers... 
Any help would be appreciated!

Depends on what type of flasher unit your using.
How many terminals does your flasher unit have? and what are the numbers by them?
I've got some documentation that I can look it up in and send you a quick diagram!

Ok - on the Relay are the following connections:
31 (-)
49 (L)
48 (+)
On the Switch are the following:
9 7
1 4
2a 5a
2b 5b
3 6
10 8
Any help on solving this (for me) difficult situation is appreciated.

did the relay and switch gear come from a donor or with the loom? i have the haynes book if thats any help? let me know anyway...

Joel - all relays and switches are new.
We have the Sierra Wiring loom but as the Hazard Switching and Indicators are interconnected it slightly makes it a tad confusing. Though it was
mighty cold Sunday and my old grey matter was firing on 2 cylinders I reckon! (Similar to our engine b4 we put new plugs in!)
Strangley enough - the 'blade wiring circuit doesn't show the hazard circuit - very odd if you ask me!

Not found all the info yet. Your relay has a connection for the feed from the fuse, one that goes through an dashboard indicator and then to earth and
the other should go to the indicator switch.
To turn this into a hazard circuit is hard to describe, I've got a good digram that I'll scan tomorrow and post.

This diagram might shed some light on the problem.
The actual hazard switch needs to be a 4 way. You should be able to work out which contacts are which.

those pictures confuse me more! the top one is easy to follow, but only has a 2 pin relay. Arent they meant to be 3? And the bottom one, i cant see
how the hazards can be made to flash together!

The top diagram shows how the hazard switch should work with a simple representation of the flasher relay. The third pin is for an indicator light.
The bottom diagram doesn't include the hazard part.
I'll try and redraw them so they make better sense.
Hazard circuits are confusing until you realise that you need a multipole switch to ..
Provide power to the relay directly to the battery.
Connect both left and right indicators into the circuit.
And provide a separate warning light (if req)
So in Hellfires case where the Indictor and Hazard Switch are as one, it ends up having 12 connections.
Have you got a pin out diagram for the switch? I should be able to come up with a custom circuit diagram for you.
If you are using the Sierra Loom are you using the sierra switch?

I gave up mate - I have 'arc eye with trying'!!!
We have a simple (now there's a laugh!) stand alone system and unfortunately I'm out of the country until Sat/Sun so I can't get
the switch schematic. The switch has internal links which are throwing me. I have a seperate Switch and Relay to the rest of the system.
Thanks for trying - I will be in touch over the weekend!
