Zetec cam identification
Many moons ago I asked if anyone could supply the method for identifying zetec cams, and was rewarded with the information...i've since lost it
Has anyone got that information they could share with me please?
I have a 1.8 silver top and have access to two pairs of cams which I have been assured are 2.0 ones...I am not convinced as the rings between the
lobes are different.
Another question: are the silver and black top cams interchangable if not how can you tell them apart?

Sorry, and no the black and silvertops are not interchangable, different profiles for solid and hydro lifters.

COOZER. I can't open your attachment!
r1_Pete. If you are right and the silver/black top cams are different, which do the picture you kindly posted refer to...I think they are black top.

Thanks Pete
I am really confused now, I have another 1.8 in the garage, came without cam cover etc. which I am convinced is black top as it has the black top cam
belt/pulley set up. This engine has the cams from the 2.0 136ps fitted as per your picture which you tell me are for silver tops
