Locostbuilders F1 Team

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/75440

There's still time for us to apply!!!

See what we can cobble together with spares from our garages.

Reckon we'd still beat Force India!!!

Cheers,
James

EDIT:
Sh!t! Just realised the main problem... we'd never decide whether to go BEC or CEC in time!!!

£40,000,000 and 5,000 members. Only £8,000 each per year - dead easy. Where do i sign?

Oh bugger - forgot about drivers wages. Never mind, nice idea.

Well I'm halfway there already!!!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Drivers wages needn't be an issue, I would volunteer

I bring some built in extra ballast which wouldn't need fitting to the car separately thereby upholding the Locost tradition.

The car would have to be somewhat wider than is usual but it would stick on slow speed corners better with the extra grip available due to the aforementioned increased ballast.

Also the rounder cockpit shape to accomodate my slightly larger frame would in my opinion be more aerodynamic

Where do we send the entry form?

Drivers salary is easy.... Jon Ison wouldn't charge much!

As for engine, they're 2.4lt v8 now aren't they? So two zx12r in a v8.
Step forward Claire to do the machining of that for us.

Flak Monkey to do the MS Ecu.

Sierra LSD (obviously)

And finally I think the FIA would be cool with Cortina uprights.

NSDev to do the exausts.

Triton to do our bodywork and seat.

Fozzie and DLT to put it all together.

Anything/anyone I've forgotten?

Cheers,
James

Mr Whippy to do the Max Mosley impressions? Though names aside some of Flak's avatars are rather Mosleyesque....

The only qualifications for the Bernie impression is having been well and truly fleeced by a woman at the end of a relationship..... So probably pretty much any of us Or was that just me!!!
