zx9r carb manual
has anyone got a copy of a manual for them? not sure exactly what ones mine are, but they have the TPS on them.
bought a set (from someone on here i think actually) but one of the butterflies is jammed. i took them all apart, and the other 3 are fine.
can't work out why its jammed, it turns with a bit of help from some big pliers, but can't be done by hand. not sure if the shaft is bent
or what, but could do with taking it apart really
or does anyone have a single carb? its one of the end ones, not the one with the TPS on the side
or do the spindle/butterfly shaft thingys from a zzr1100 carb fit?
i've got a knackered set of zzr1100 carbs laying about

You can get US spec parts diagrams at www.kawasaki.com. I got the diagrams for ZX6R carbs here.
Try this:

Here select owner info-parts diagrams-select the motorcycle-it sounds like you have the same carbs as me so
choose 1998 and select ninja zx9r- select the standard (non california)-choose carburettor parts and you should get exploded diagrams and part numbers

thats about the best photo i've got. they look the same as yours. Jacko's ones have the solenoid thingys on them, which mine don't.

well they are Keihin CVR's, basically the same as mine and jacko - but different from the CVK's on the earlier bikes
(I think his solenoid things are just part of one of the reduced emissions specs)
CVR's seem to be on E1 and E2 bikes only (2000 & 2001), not sure if there is any difference in the carbs between these models.... - at
least thats from what I can work out using there website in the US (mistergrumpy's link)
I actually found the local(ish) Kawasaki dealer quite helpful when I needed a couple of bits for the airbox (C&J Wilson in Uphall)

can't work out how the shaft comes out though. does it just slide?
how much are replacement ones likely to be?
