My engine has gone

My 2 litre pinto has gone to its new home
today.

I was quite sad to see it being driven
away in Neil's (yorkie's) car.

so i want to thank Neil for buying the engine and thank, Steve(coozer)
and Mike(guiness) for coming over and helping Neil and me to remove it from my MK.
It was quite amusing at times all four of us
fighting over the same bolt

The four of us had it out, mounted on a wooden frame and into Neils boot in about an hour,
Some good banter was had too.Need to get the zetec in the hole now.

Thanks lads I couldnt have done it without
you all.

Andy

No problem. Was a good laugh and shows how much 4 pairs of hands can achieve in such a short time!

Before:-

After:-

Hope the carpet dries out soon!

Have you not got the new engine in yet??

Mike

it took 4 of you to take a pinto out! i did mine on my own in the garage, mind you an extra pair of hands would have been handy at times!

has he took the exhaust as well? are you aware that the zetec exhaust ports are on the opposite side to the pinto, so your exhaust will now run down the passenger side and not the drivers side

Ha! four of us fighting over spanners to remove bolts and elbowing each other out the way...

Even though Andy's bottom lip was flapping it was great to get together.. even tho I had to drive back in the rain

Silver top or black top Zetec ?? if its the silvertop you may need to make some mods to the steering as it fouls the oil filter. My Locost is 4" wider than standard and still required modification to miss the oil filter

from the looks of your pictures i would say that you have a large-ish hole where the exhaust came out, is there any way that you could use that hole as an intake for cold air to the intake for the zetec otherwise new bonnet?
