Machining required

Hi, i`m looing to get my aluminium dashboard casting to be machined.
I got the castings done at mayberry Reliance in kent.
Top notch work, will definately use them in the future.
Can anyone recommend anywhere around romford/ Essex to get it done?
It requires CNC milling to be done to front and rear face.
Thanks
Darren

Edit: Also any powder coaters in the same area?

Thanks
Darren

Can't help you with your problem.

I can't really see what your casting looks like, but is you are casting, then machining, have you costed machining from solid?

Got quotes but they were expensive, mainly beacuse it requires machining from both top and bottom.
Thanks

I have just had some brackets done by a guy in Kent (Chatham) if it is any use to you. He does a lot of work for automotive purposes.

He did mine manually (only 2) but he has full CNC facilities. Not too sure on the price of CNC though.

I can U2U over his details if need be.

Cheers

Sorry about the delay in replying.

His email is scott0031 at hot male dot com (spaced out to avoid spam)
He is on the Mig-welding forum, where there is a gallery of his work. (username scott0031)

He just sent me some pictures of my brackets and I am well impressed.

Not too sure if the links work if you are not a forum member, but here are links to his galleries
components.welding & finished jobs
machining process
finished motorcycle parts

Hope that helps

Thanks for your reply.
Just discovered that the graphic overlay is bigger than my casting, combination of casting shrinkage and the 3d model of the original pattern not matching my 2d dxf file.
Looks like i`ll get the parts cnc machined in the future, i`ll get a quote from him.
Thanks
Darren
