Wanted - laptop advice +/- laptop!

Hi All,

I need a laptop to run a single programme on Windows XP (small programme with very low processor requirement), and as I need that, I thought I'd get a laptop that I can also take to the garage and use for displaying the pictures I have taken of my car when I took it apart, to help in putting it back together!

Problem is I know nothing about PC's (I generally use Macs) and so I don't know what I'm looking for in all the ebay ads.... want something that will do the job, especially flicking through the photos not too slowly.. can anyone give some advice, or maybe have something for sale that is appropriate (doesn't need to have a decent battery life, or wifi (or actually any internet!)

Ta

Chris

I bought an ibm thinkpad t30 about two years ago for a simular job in hand.
- At the time i paid £100 as i was in a rush, but then got £60 back from the courier for it being damaged in transit (minor crack to casing) and just kept the money. It still has about two hours battery life and although 512mb of ram is a little lacking these days it does to play music in the garage through a cheap sterio, runs the megajolt software (and has com port) as well a surfing the net and recoring low res timelapse video using a webcam.

In short, almost anything that came out after XP should do you but by somthing from a reputable solid company such as a thinkpad as it will last and have lasted better all round.

I have a P4 2.8 Laptop for sale, 1/2GB ram.

DVD-RW etc...

Freshly re-installed with windows.

Case hinges are a littel cracked but other than that it's a good machine.

I am asking £90 delivered.
