There is only a small photo (similar to your avatar pic!) in the "In Next Months Issue" page - so its hard to say!

Does your weeny Fiat have a bike engine ?

If so I would like to have a look through a build blog if you have one ?

I have a 126 soon to become bike engined ,supercharged & spaceframed.

By the way your 500 looks excellent !

I send off a load of deatils about my Striker with a Rotrex supercharger but apart from an acknowledgment I haven't heard anything. Too late now though as I've already stripped it, sold the engine and put another back in.

I like to think it would have made their Westfiled build with the roots blower look anemic! That's my excuse anyway.

I'm a bit peeved with PPC.. Its an excellent mag. But they never finished the 400bhp Saab Engined Escort they were building.

I wanted to know how they did all the engine bits, as its a good basis for a kit car engine and box.

I've noticed this before.
It makes you think they had a problem they couldnt solve, or its never going to give 400bhp, so they quietly dropped it.

I still think they are one of the better mags to read.
I'm just a bit miffed about that Saab Engined Escort. They did so much, they should have completed it!

thats my biggest gripe its a good mag but never seem to finish anything, and if they do not properly, like the V8 transit with a 240v heating circulating pump fitted, may have got the thing going but!!

Yeah i remember that, very odd way of doing it given the number of suitable 12v pumps aviable quite cheap for boats etc.

I'm interested, which pumps do you mean? Are they really suitable for long term use with high pressure water at 90+ degrees C?

IIRC They did mention that one, briefly, in letters page. They found it was hard to do the butterflys/linkage and in the meantime people had discovered bike TB's for less than the cost of making your own.

Place your bets on the supercharged crossflow getting finished.

Magazine just plopped through the letterbox.

Blue 500 speedster gets 6 pages, lots of pictures and a very positive write-up.

Hi I just bought the mag

My car looks great I'm well chuffed.

The description is a bit generic but it was done as a phone interview!!!!

Summer next year It's on the market as I need funds for the IMP.

Yep your car does look good and maybe the ribbing will be less now too.

I wish they'd stop featuring LS1 conversions as my next project involves one and I'm just going to look like a Fanboy now!
