Zetec / MT75 Starter

I know this is a subject thats been done to death and I have tried searching but to no avail -

Im swapping my pinto/MT75 for a Blacktop Zetec/MT 75. At the moment im just trial fitting the engine and box to get the position right so Im using the same starter motor which may or may not mate with the flywheel when its on. However because I can mount the engine and hence box lower with the zetec the solenoid on the side of the starter fouls the chassis rail whereas before it sat above it. Do all starters have the solenoid in the same position? Have other zetec users solved this problem?

How did you adjust the chassis? Cut the leg?
